My wife gave me a pretty hard time about signing up for one hundred pounds of winter root vegetables from our wonderful CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm: Mountain View Farm in Easthampton, Massachusetts. I think she fears the veggies will rot.
As I’m on sabbatical for the year, and am almost finished with my book (yeah!) I’ve set a new challenge for myself: Cook something each day that uses one or more of the veggies.
What we have: carrots, sweet potatoes, pink turnips, yellow turnips, rutabaga, daikon, beets, leeks, parsnips.
